There is nothing called ‘free money’ specially on the Net, there’s always a catch, but yet there are different opportunities where you can make money online, in this page i will update and add links to all the sites that pay you for doing something and which are legit.
However remember that i don’t recommend all these sites nor do i promise they can earn you a fortune, but you can definitely earn by the efforts you put in them, the idea is they pay you for stuffs you do basically everyday and most sites turn out to be scams in the end since the word ‘free’ is too good to be true, the following sites are some that i have tested and i currently even use so theirs no harm in trying.
I will keep updating as i find out more and will remove current ones if their are any issues, please contact me if you know of any good paying freebie sites that you would want to see added here.
Selling information or digital products is immensely popular but if you think you can promote and sell your own physical products then these are the sites for you:
1. Lulu Self Publishing – lulu is a marketing leader among self publishing sites, if you got a ebook or any book which you would like to sell around the world as a physical product then lulu is the place for you, from creating to customizing and promoting all at one place.
a must try for budding online authors that needs recognition as well as a way to publish and market their works.
2. CafePress – Do you have a site? or a fan site? An upcoming event? A club? A social group?
Did you always wanted to create and sell your own fan products to your visitors? are you very artistic? Well put it to use at cafe press, easily create fantastic fan items from tshirts to caps to mugs to anything that you want to and start your own storefront absolutely free! and you keep the money after you sell them also, i recommend it if you are really looking forward to selling physical fan items or if you have a excellent site that is not meant for business, then this perhaps is the way for you to monetize it, also don’t worry cafepress handles everything from creating to delivering, you just make the designs and set the prices
3. Zazzle: Zazzle is growing fast and is the leading competitor for cafepress, they got the same services, same platform and same purpose but zazzle got better looks and faster service [as far as i have tested], the rivalry between these 2 makes it a good outcome for the middleman like us, take advantage of it, but it will be hard on which one you choose. There are many creative people using zazzle.
These sites pay you to click advertisements, read mails or surf the net, basically for those who are new to the Internet ‘make money online’ world, but won’t earn you much
many of my visitors have asked me why i promote these sites, well my answer is since not everyone who wants to earn online is ready to spend something, they can start small with such sites like i used to once, and as they get more knowledge about how things work they will find their way around, most of the free money seekers can earn 100-200$ a month or year from such sites which they could invest in other programs or get their own websites by paying their hosting bills, its a way to start things off and since i feel like helping everyone i don’t mind promoting such sites.
1. NeoBux
2. ClixSense
be careful of scam sites that they might promote and please don’t spam me regarding anything related to these sites, kindly use their forums or support.
Update May 2011: As of now i do not use any of these sites, but 6 out of 8 of these sites vanished so i had to recheck at the ones that are still active & paying. So far Neobux & clixsense are the only 2 such sites, they have been around for over 3 years now so i assume they are here to stay.
Yes you heard it right, have you been using facebook? or myspace? do you know they earn millions of $$ every month by selling advertising’s to you, but what do you get? if you ask me, most people spend their time on social sites [which is not always is bad thing tho] and they end up in some sort of addiction, specially among young teens who even see low scores in their exams and most of the time get misguided, but that’s the way the life goes on.
However if your looking for some social networking sites that actually share their profit with you, then you must take a look at the following sites.
What i found as a good thing about these sites are, that not only can you earn, have fun but at the same time you can promote your products or sites using these social medias which can be rewarding.
1. Mylot – Pays you for your participation, by the number of postings you do, and you can cash out later via paypal when you reach payout
2. Yuwie – Yuwie is another popular social network which shares its revenue among its members, i don’t recommend it for making money but its a great source for promoting products
3. Swagbucks – You earn swagpoints for pretty much everything, such as searching, taking polls, playing games, etc. You can cash out these points for many things including paypal money & amazon vouchers.
Sometimes making money by blogging isn’t enough. Content is king & if you don’t have a budget to build your own blog then building content for other sites is the best way to go. If you love writing, making videos or sharing exciting bookmarks then these sites are for you. There are various ways you can earn from these sites by direct revenue share, google adsense revenue share, amazon, ebay, infolinks, etc. Imagine the power of these networks, if you were to write 1 article that makes you 1$ on average per month per site. [Which isn't hard with proper keyword research & quality content] Write 100 articles in a year on each of these sites & you could potentially end up with $1000 per month passive income. The best part? The income keeps coming for as long as the site is alive or your article is ranking in the search engines.
1. Squidoo : Squidoo can’t exactly be called a social network, but its basically one since it has some features that lets you socialize, the main thing about squidoo is that you can create lens which you can promote, inside the lens there are many things you can do to monetize it that’s why its made it to this list here, i recommend squidoo for promoting your affiliate products, but it seems to be declining recently. You can make money via amazon affiliates, ebay, google adsense & other ways. Check them out, if you love writing.
2. Hubpages : Serving the same purpose as squidoo has been, but hubpages has a more faster growing community, the best advantages of hubs is the traffic that it could generate for you. Just as squidoo, you can make money using google adsense, amazon, ebay, etc.
3. Xomba : Not exactly a community site, as its a article directory like any other in terms of purpose but it has a twist, xomba lets you earn revenue via AdSense which are displayed on your articles, half of those goes to xomba btw, but still a unique platform for someone without any knowledge to make money online, i bet my little brother can make money here if he was creative with what he write, since xoma allows you to write about anything and everything!
4. Helium : Helium is a article directory where authors can publish their contents for free and at the same time get paid for creating unique content based on the revenue that your site generates, its a good platform for anyone to test their skills and create a reader base at the same time make some cash.
5. Bukisa : Bukisa also servers the same purpose as helium and other paid to write sites that earns you on going royalties on your articles
6. Triond : Yet another site with the same purpose but triond has its own set of sites that will display your articles on, and you can get paid based on number of article views
7. Associated Content by Yahoo : AC is the perhaps the most famous Site that serves the same purpose with millions of active users and readers, it can’t be better then this to explore yourself. AC was recently acquired by yahoo & is now known as yahoo contributor network. You can get upfront payments at AC, but only US residents & citizens can use AC, unless of course you sign up as a featured writer.
8. Infobarrel: After ehow which recently abandoned its writers program, infobarrel is a successful content network & pretty much servers the same purpose as all the content sites.
Freelancing isn’t free money, its hard earned money and requires skills and technical know how, but still their are areas in free lancing where you can earn, basically those like doing surveys, data entries, article writing, etc which don’t require technical know-how, but in case your a techie [am not by the way] then freelancing can earn you a living, i won’t go into details on each of the sites below as all serves the same purpose and their are many others out their, but i am listing just the top ones which i prefer and recommend
1. ODesk : I use them personally, excellent tracking features.
2. Freelancer.com : Quite an old site, previously known as getafreelancer.com
3. ScriptLance : Good Site for Programmers.
4. Elance: elance is one of the oldest & most trusted freelance websites out there.
5. 99Designs: Great source for designers & web developers.
6. vWorker: An amazing site for virtual workers, previously known as rentacoder.com
7. GetACoder: Another great site for programmers.
8. Amazon Mturk : Read my amazon mturk review for more information.
9. Microworkers : Get paid for small tasks such as writing articles, bookmarking something, watching youtube videos, etc.
10. Fiverr: Got great ideas? or something unique? Sell your gigs for $5 fixed price, with lots of potential workers.
Other freelance site & sources are guru, freelanceswitch, ifreelance, crowdspring, etc.
You can also find freelance jobs at famous forums like digitalpoint, warriors forums, blackhat world. Some sites also run their own job boards like problogger, etc.

Problem with free hosting is that access to their servers are often slow and they offer only limited support. Article Directory
Hey,
This is Nick owner of Xomba.com.
I just wanted to mention that we are a community website. We are planning a major redesign that will be launching within a month and the main theme is community. Not only will our site look more professional, but we are bringing even more community tools to Xomba.
Your brother probably could make money writing for us. Once you get the hang of it is pretty easy.
Thanks for listing us.
